The Chobe National Park is one of the most visited national parks in Botswana. It is an incredible Botswana Safari and in just 24 hours you can experience the best that Chobe has to offer.

A Chobe Safari is a favorite amongst travelers and many tourists find it to be noteworthy due to its diverse wildlife, which includes elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, hippos, and many other species. Additionally, the park is situated along the Chobe River, providing access to magnificent river cruises. Below are some of the ways that you can visit Chobe National Park in just 24 hours.

    Getting To Chobe

From Zambia: The Chobe Day Trip departs from either Victoria Falls or Livingstone at 7 a.m. and arrives at Chobe National Park in Botswana at around 8.30 am. You will travel to the Kazungula Bridge from Livingstone and then cross the river to reach Kasane.

From Zimbabwe: If you are traveling from Victoria Falls, you will be driven 80 kilometers to the Kazungula Border, where your Botswana guide will be waiting for you. Kazungula is the border that separates Zimbabwe and Botswana.

    Chobe by Water

Exploring the Chobe by water is one of the most soothing and tranquilizing experiences you can ever have in Botswana. It is an exceptional way to view the landscapes of the area and the abundant wildlife that is drawn to the Chobe River. This is the pinnacle of relaxation and the cool breeze and calming sounds around are a true testament to this.

    First Activity: Boat Cruise

-A 3-hour boat ride along the Chobe River serves as your first safari of the day.

-This portion of the river is well known for the enormous herds of elephants that may be seen from a boat up close and safely.

-It is exciting to view and encounter hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and a variety of birds.

-As you cruise along swiftly on the river, you will be offered warm tea and some munchy snacks, what a wonderful way to start the day.

    Delicious Lunch by the riverside

-The morning boat tour comes to a close at about 12:30 pm, just in time for a hearty and delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant.

-Lunch is usually taken at the famous Chabe Safari Lodge that is situated by the edge of the beautiful Chobe River.

    Chobe by Land

Exploring Chobe by land is nothing short of a grand experience. Nothing beats getting deep into the park and uncovering some of the park’s intricate pathways and forests. This experience takes you into the untamed territories of Africa’s wildest game. Witness them in their natural habitats and feel like a true explorer.

    Game Drive

    – After lunch, you can take an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park, where you can see a variety of animals while driving an open safari vehicle along the Chobe Riverfront.

    – This area is home to enormous herds of wildlife, such as elephants and buffalo, as well as predators like lions and cheetahs.

    – This game drive is one of the most unforgettable game drives that you will ever be on. The guides are very experienced and have so much knowledge about the area and its wildlife so be sure to ask a lot of questions.

    – One of the major highlights of the game drive, is you get to stop at a beautiful spot in the park, step out of your vehicle, stretch your legs, and enjoy the lovely African sunset while sipping on some cold beverages and eating some snacks. You can take pictures and have a little before heading back into the vehicle and proceeding with the game drive.

    Getting back home

After the game drive, it’s time to call it a day and say goodbye to Chobe and you will head back to the border and cross back to your respective countries, Zambia or Zimbabwe.

24 hours of Chobe Lets do this!

And that sums up Chobe National Park in 24 hours. It is such a wonderful experience and quite an amazing Botswana Safari Tour. It is ideal in situations where you don’t have time to visit Botswana or when you want a completely different experience.
